Skåne Nordost is now looking for a project manager who wants to contribute to the strategic work of developing a map narrative. The goal is to create an interactive digital Storymap, linked to SKNO-Storymap, (https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/1188cd4a799a4e10b17d70077e0de0a1 (https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/1188cd4a799a4e10b17d70077e0de0a1)), that visualizes the common resources, planning materials, and future opportunities of the sub-region related to green structure, nature and outdoor life, business, demographic development, housing, and more.

Your role with us

As a project employee to lead the work on a common Storymap for the municipalities in Skåne Nordost, you are responsible for coordinating the work between the six municipalities.

The purpose of the Storymap is to collect and present common planning materials from the municipalities as input for the new regional plan for Skåne. In the role of project manager, you are responsible for collecting text and digital map material from the municipalities that will form the basis for a digital map narrative. Your role is to ensure that the Storymap becomes an educational and accessible tool for both politicians and civil servants, which can be further developed as needed.

You are thus responsible for both the collection and processing and visualization of the digital map material. As a project manager, you drive the work independently, but with support from municipal representatives from all municipalities in Skåne Nordost. You are responsible for coordinating the work between the municipalities of Skåne Nordost, which includes booking and leading meetings and workshops to continuously anchor, develop, and discuss with the municipal representatives. In the role, you may also need to present to the steering group and other managers in Skåne Nordost.

Who are we looking for?

You have at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent in urban planning, physical planning, or another education that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have completed courses in geographic information systems as part of your education or individual courses. It is also advantageous if you have experience in project management as well as experience in uniting and coordinating organizations/units with different starting points. We would like you to have previously worked with strategic issues and documents related to planning. It is beneficial if you have worked in public service.

We want you to have experience in writing reports and preparing materials for meetings, which requires that you have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is an advantage if you can also communicate well in English, both orally and in writing. Of course, you handle digital tools as a natural part of your work and are well acquainted with geographic information systems. It is advantageous if you have experience with Esri software as well as experience in building information on the web and producing images digitally.

Since the position involves responsibility for driving the work forward, we believe that you are driven and enjoy working towards goals, and you have a good structural ability to plan your work effectively. You are solution-oriented and have a good ability to compile large amounts of information and see connections. You have the ability to take your own initiatives, are driven, and ensure that deliveries are completed according to the timeline.

The position also requires that you are meticulous and clear as you will be in contact with several different municipalities and civil servants during the process. You have a good ability to communicate and take in feedback. You find it easy to collaborate and are comfortable speaking in front of groups as well as leading workshops and meetings.
