Do you want to contribute to Sida's collaboration with Swedish authorities and the EU to support international development cooperation? We are looking for someone with experience in international development cooperation and an interest in working with the EU's instruments for institutional authority cooperation (Twinning).
About the job
As the national contact point for the European Commission's technical assistance and information exchange (TAIEX) and for the EU's instrument for institutional authority cooperation (Twinning), you will support and maintain regular contact with Swedish authorities interested in contributing to development cooperation through the EU. The role includes managing initiatives within the framework of the thematic global strategy for innovation, partnership, and capacity development 2024 – 2028, focusing on EU's authority cooperation. The position is a temporary contract until mid-August 2026, starting at the end of January 2026.
You will belong to the Global Department, which gathers global strategy and initiative management and works based on Sida's various thematic areas. You will work at our office in Rissne Sundbyberg.
Responsibilities
- Dialogue with Swedish authorities and actors interested in or active in twinning and TAIEX.
- Management of calls for possible twinning collaborations published by the EU Commission, 4 times/year.
- Contribute to developing the joint portfolio, as well as contribute to analysis and reporting of results within the Strategy for innovation, partnership, and capacity development, 2024 – 2028.
- Processing initiatives and twinning applications in accordance with Sida's rules for aid initiatives (planning, preparation, contract signing, dialogue and follow-up, financial and other reviews, as well as administration and closure).
- Organize networking meetings for Swedish authorities.
- Prepare and publish newsletters focusing on the Swedish perspective in twinning and TAIEX issues.
- Assist with other tasks that may arise within the unit.

Qualifications
Education
- A university degree or equivalent academic education or other training deemed relevant by the employer in development issues, social sciences, or other related fields.
Language
- Good Swedish and English.
Work experience and knowledge
- Good experience in international development cooperation.
- Operational experience in managing and processing projects, including assessing collaborations with external partners in an international context.

It is an advantage if you
- Have experience of various EU collaborations within development cooperation.
Good to know
The position is a temporary contract until further notice, but no later than August 2026. Start as soon as possible.
