Operations Coordinator in International Material Cooperation

About the Position

As an operations coordinator in international material cooperation, you will play a central role in driving and developing our operations. You will work closely with the unit manager and act as a hub in the work of planning, follow-up, and coordination.

In your work, you will develop and manage routines, guidelines, and working methods, while distributing and following up on tasks within the unit. This means you will be responsible for the unit's functional mailbox and ensure that incoming cases are distributed according to established principles. Another important part of the role is to develop and maintain the unit's SharePoint site to create good structure and accessibility in our information management. You will compile preparations and referrals and produce summaries and decision support materials to support the unit's ongoing work.

You will participate in or lead meetings and working groups both within FMV and together with other authorities. The role also includes contributing to and driving change and development work with a focus on efficiency. A growing aspect is to explore and promote how AI can be used to strengthen and streamline operations.

About You

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic education or equivalent skills acquired in another way that we assess as comparable. To succeed in the role, it is essential that you have experience in coordination, operational planning, follow-up, and preparation of decision support materials. You have good knowledge of operational management. A fundamental requirement is that you have good proficiency in Swedish and English.

We also prefer candidates with experience working in government and good knowledge of government administration. If you have good knowledge of SharePoint and its functions, we see it as an advantage.

The unit is responsible for coordinating and directing cross-agency international activities. The unit's mission includes managing FMV's national coordination office for the European Defence Fund (EDF), the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO), and the Nordic Defence Cooperation (Nordefco). Furthermore, the unit is responsible for coordinating FMV's overall NATO-related work and FMV's collective work with the agency's international quality assurance assignments (GQA) as well as entering into and managing international cooperation agreements in the quality area.
