Sustainability Controller at Reitan Convenience AS in Stockholm / Oslo
Reitan Convenience AS is now looking for a sustainability controller for the office in Stockholm or Oslo. This is an important role in a values-driven and international company where sustainability is not a sideline but a central part of the business. You will work across seven countries and be responsible for policy development, sustainability reporting, and compliance. Reitan Convenience has a forward-leaning strategy that integrates sustainability with business goals and aims to lead the transition in convenience. Here, you can combine strategic thinking with data-driven analysis in a fast-paced environment characterized by high tempo, significant autonomy, and strong commitment.
Your Job Offer
At Reitan Convenience AS, you will be part of an organization deeply committed to creating a profitable and sustainable development, where sustainability work has a clear place in everyday life. In this role, you will have a central task in driving and developing compliance work, with interfaces across all Reitan Convenience countries, within Reitan Convenience AS, and in close collaboration with the parent company Reitan Retail.
At Reitan Convenience, we focus on values-based leadership, well-being, and performance. We place great importance on creating a work environment where employees thrive, are motivated, and thereby deliver strong results. With us, you will receive a solid introduction and the opportunity to grow together with us. We are an organization in development – at the forefront of sustainability, with a high pace of change, strong innovation power, and the ability to make quick decisions that make us a leading player in the convenience market.
You will work with engaged and motivated colleagues who are proud of our brands and who all do their utmost to help us achieve our goals. Everyday life offers variety, many different tasks, humor, and a good atmosphere.
This is a role for you who want to develop and contribute concretely to the continued development of Reitan Convenience's sustainability journey.
Your Responsibilities
As a sustainability controller, you will among other things:
- Coordinate and analyze sustainability data from seven countries
- Develop processes for climate action plans, due diligence, and risk assessments
- Be responsible for reporting related to CSRD, EUDR, Transparency Act, etc.
- Interpret and implement EU directives and internal policies
- Support the harmonization of reporting processes and systems
- Work closely with the CFO to integrate sustainability and finance
- Be a support to local sustainability functions in the group
The role combines strategic questions with data-driven analytical work, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to how sustainability is measured, monitored, and managed in one of the Nordic and Baltic region's most ambitious convenience players. You will also be responsible for coordinating recurring activities related to reporting, monitoring, and sustainability analysis.
Worth Knowing
The position is located at Reitan Convenience AS, the parent company for the convenience business in the Nordic and Baltic regions. Your immediate manager is Communications and Sustainability Director Malin Eklund, and you will work closely with the finance and analysis teams. You are expected to travel 2–3 days/month. The position is full-time and permanent, starting as agreed. The organization is small, decentralized, and cross-functional with significant international contact.
The workplace is Reitan Convenience Sweden's office in Stockholm or the office in Ensjø, Oslo.
Our Expectations
We are looking for someone with experience in sustainability reporting, for example according to CSRD, GRI, or the EU taxonomy, and who is accustomed to working in a BI environment with sustainability and financial data. You have an academic degree in sustainability, economics, engineering, or data analysis, and have worked with policy issues, due diligence, or compliance. If you have overarching knowledge of coding, that is also relevant.
To succeed in this role, you need to be structured and self-driven with a strong systems thinking. You find it easy to collaborate and communicate, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish and English. You are pedagogical, curious, and confident in driving issues even without formal mandate. You thrive in the intersection of strategy, data, and business development and see opportunities where others see obstacles.
We particularly value:
- The ability to build relationships and create trust across country and functional boundaries.
- Your analytical sharpness and motivation to create structure in large data sets.
- A strong commitment to sustainable transition and a desire to operate in a values-driven organization.
