The Position Offers
As the Chief Technical System Support, you will be a central player in an operation that is crucial for the Swedish Armed Forces' capabilities on the ground. You contribute directly to Sweden's security by leading and developing technical system support for the units at K 3.
The position offers a responsible and varied job where you play a key role in ensuring that the garrison's material systems function, develop, and are used with high quality. You collaborate daily with engaged colleagues throughout the garrison and have the opportunity to work with all existing material systems within the garrison.
As a leader with us, you will lead specialized technical personnel, contribute to the development of technical services within the units, and help influence how K 3's technical capabilities are strengthened for the future.
About the Technical Department (TekA)
The Technical Department (TekA) belongs to the Logistics Unit (LogE) and is responsible for the garrison's ongoing technical maintenance. The department provides technical expert support to the units through training, system support, and advice on material and functional issues.
TekA consists of two sections:
- Technical Customer Reception (TKM): responsible for customer contact, planning of maintenance, and operation of the care facility.
- Technical System Support (TSS): works with training, operational support, supervision, and repairs – and supports the units during exercises and in daily work.
About the Section
As the head of TSS, you lead a section with broad technical expertise within the material systems that occur within K 3. You are responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing technical system support and for developing the section's work in an operation characterized by both high pace and great variation.
The section works in several different support systems, including PRIO and LIFT, and plays a central role in technical training, operational support, repairs, troop repairs, and functional management at the squadron and battalion level.
As a leader, you have a significant role in ensuring that the units receive the right technical support at the right time.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and plan the section's activities.
- Collaborate, coordinate, and implement technical system support for the units.
- Manage and follow up information in PRIO and LIFT.
- Train personnel in technical services.
- Collaborate with other sections and departments within LogE.
- Participate in the development of routines and working methods within technical system support.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Approved officer examination with a technical focus.
- Driving license B (manual transmission).
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
- Good ability to communicate in English.
- Good computer skills, including work in the Office suite.

You are structured, proactive, and unpretentious, with a high degree of responsibility. You have good collaboration skills and can switch between leading the team and independently tackling complex tasks.

Meritorious
- Experience as a technical manager at company, squadron, or battalion level.
- Experience working with IT, electrical, or telecommunication materials.
- Driving license C.
Other
Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed within the authority.

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and effective units and a long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion.
The ranger battalion is a unit with high mobility that should be able to be first on site during an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).
