We are looking for an experienced development engineer with a focus on piping design who wants to take on a long-term assignment in a technically advanced industrial environment. In this role, you will work closely with both project teams and cross-functional departments, contributing to the development, design, and quality assurance of technical solutions within piping systems. The assignment involves being an important part of product development and order projects where you can utilize your technical expertise, creative approach, and ability to navigate complex projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing piping systems and producing manufacturing documentation and technical documentation in NX. You will actively participate in development and improvement work related to product standards and technical solutions, with the goal of ensuring cost-effective and high-quality constructions. You will closely collaborate with purchasing and subcontractors to develop and optimize technical solutions, solve general problems, and conduct root cause analyses. The assignment also includes handling installation-related issues in order projects, working in a 3D environment, and ensuring that the design work adheres to set timelines. You will conduct and update investigations and documentation within your technical area and have a broad internal network where you collaborate with, among others, customer order and sales departments.

Requirements:

• MSc or BSc in mechanical engineering or equivalent competence/experience

• Good knowledge of relevant norms and standards for process and mechanical engineering, especially PED and ASME

• Experience in system design and P&ID

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

• Ability to work in a structured manner, take initiative, prioritize, and drive your work effectively

• Thrives in a changing and multicultural environment

• Strong technical understanding and willingness to learn new things

• Good collaboration skills and accountability in tasks

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience in piping design

• Experience in performing and evaluating piping stress calculations

Permanent employment with immediate start within the framework of a consulting assignment on-site in Finspång. The work is conducted on-site with no possibility for remote work. The employment rate is full-time.
