We are looking for a calculation engineer with a specialization in thermal analysis of piping systems within advanced industrial environments. The role involves working closely with both design and development, where you will become a key person in ensuring accurate calculations, robust design, and compliance with applicable standards for complex piping systems in power plant environments. You will join a technically driven organization with many interfaces and work on projects ranging from new development to improvement of existing products.

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for conducting thermal calculations of pipes and bellows in systems with high technical requirements. You will also act as a technical support to designers when selecting pipe layouts, supports, flexible elements, and materials. The work also involves handling CE-related calculation requirements, where you will use your knowledge of standards such as PED and ASME and recommend solutions based on national regulations. You will collaborate closely with experienced pipe calculators and designers to gradually build specialist competence. The role includes frequent contacts with internal and external interfaces within development, purchasing, delivery and service organizations, as well as manufacturing. You will participate in development projects, work on improvements of existing products, and provide technical support to various functions. The calculation work is mainly performed in CAEPIPE and ROHR2, while Siemens NX and Teamcenter are used in daily design and documentation work.

• Experience in thermal calculations or mechanical calculations of piping systems

• Knowledge of relevant standards, such as PED and ASME

• Practical experience or understanding of industrial pipe installation

• Familiarity with CAE tools for pipe calculations, such as CAEPIPE or ROHR2

• Experience with CAD and PLM tools such as Siemens NX and Teamcenter

• Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple technical disciplines

• Good communication and analytical skills

• Experience working in the gas turbine or power plant industry

• Experience in specialized work within pipe calculations

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly, or service of industrial systems

The position is located in Finspång and is performed on-site. The assignment is a consulting assignment with a permanent employment at the consulting company, and the desired start is immediate. The working hours are full-time, and the assignment is without the possibility of remote work.
