Our client in the energy sector is seeking an experienced designer focused on steam turbines for their service organization. The role offers a varied and technically challenging job where you will work with everything from troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs to the development of future service products. You will have regular contact with customers and act as a technical expert in sales activities and inspections, where you can clearly demonstrate and explain the value of the solutions offered.

In this role, you will work both independently and in project teams with assignments that vary in scope and duration. The work often ranges from the initial ideas and quote preparation to implementation and commissioning. You will work with technical areas such as machine design, mechanics, strength of materials, and thermodynamics. Your daily tasks will include working on the design and development of steam turbines, participating in turbine inspections during overhauls, and assessing the lifespan of existing turbines. The role also involves problem-solving and providing technical support to the sales and service organization, as well as being responsible for driving parts of various projects and contributing to the further development of service products. You will work closely with an experienced and dedicated team of designers, calculation engineers, and inspectors.

Requirements: • Master's degree in engineering or experienced bachelor's degree engineer/technical engineer • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written • Detail-oriented, responsible, and quality-conscious

Preferred: • Experience in turbine design, inspections, or lifespan assessment • Experience in mechanics, strength of materials, and thermodynamics • Experience in customer-facing technical roles or project management

The position is on-site at the client's location in Finspång. 

Employment rate: Full-time. 

Travel may occur to a limited extent. 

Employment period: Start as agreed, the assignment runs indefinitely.
