Hardware System Engineer for Advanced Programs at Saab Aeronautics
We are now looking for recent graduates and driven Hardware System Engineers for Advanced Programs at Saab Aeronautics in Linköping.
Here you will have a unique opportunity to work with control systems for the next generation of combat aircraft, from concept and modeling to prototypes and verification. This is a role for you who want to be involved early and influence tomorrow's aviation technology.
About the Role
As a System Engineer at Advanced Programs, you will work with hardware components and subsystems that are crucial for the aircraft's control, such as sensors, actuators, and servos. You will be part of a technical area where systems engineering, hardware, modeling, and testing interact. You will work closely with technology, suppliers, and in a team that builds new and looks forward.
You will:
- Take responsibility for hardware units in the aircraft's control system
- Perform system and component analyses
- Search for and evaluate technological solutions on the global market
- Support purchasing with technical requirements and supplier selection
- Work with modeling, testing, and verification
Each device becomes a technical project with high demands, great responsibility, and many points of contact. You will work throughout the chain: specifying, selecting, testing, and delivering.

We are looking for someone who has:
- An engineering degree in e.g. mechanical, aerospace, aviation/space, technical physics, electrical engineering, power engineering, or similar
- A valid driver's license (B)
- Good Swedish and English skills in both spoken and written form
- Recently graduated or at the beginning of your career. You enjoy taking initiative, dare to question, and are open to learning new things to collaboratively solve complex problems.
The assignment is placed in a security class. Therefore, you will undergo a security clearance before employment, which requires Swedish citizenship.
Meritorious
- Interest in aviation or a pilot's license
- Relevant work experience
- Courses in mechanical engineering
- Experience leading student projects (e.g. Formula Student)
