We are currently seeking a Project Manager in Mechanical Testing for our client Siemens Energy, a leading global player in the energy sector, for an assignment at their site in Finspång. Thanks to high-tech and innovative product development, the company is an established partner in the energy sector, delivering advanced and sustainable solutions for current and future market needs. This assignment offers you the opportunity to work in an international and forward-thinking environment with many development opportunities. Initially, this is a consulting assignment for approximately 12 months via Unik Resurs, with a very good chance of extension. We apply continuous selection, which means that the assignment may be filled earlier than the application deadline.

Responsibilities and Duties

We are looking for a driven and structured project manager in advanced mechanical testing. In this role, you will be the hub throughout the testing chain – from planning and coordination to execution and follow-up. You will work closely with local experts, other Siemens Energy units, and external testing laboratories to ensure high quality, optimized timelines, and cost-effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test plans for complex mechanical tests.
• Coordinate and lead projects, including close follow-up against timelines and budgets.
• Ensure commercial and logistical aspects of testing projects.
• Collaborate closely with senior technical project managers and team leads in mechanical testing.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Report project status, results, and progress to the steering group.
• Drive continuous improvements in the testing process.

Your Profile

Required Qualifications

• Academic education in engineering, such as mechanical engineering, materials, production, or equivalent or corresponding work experience from technical projects or testing operations.
• Experience working in project form, e.g., as a project assistant, coordinator, junior project manager, or similar.
• Ability to plan and follow up tasks against time and goals.
• Good administrative and analytical skills.
• Comfortable in contact with various internal and external parties.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical testing, lab/testing environments, or technical quality assurance.
• Experience with technical documentation such as drawings, test plans, or reports.
• Previous work in industry, production, energy, manufacturing, or engineering.
• Basic experience in improvement work or lean.
• Experience from larger companies or international project environments.
