Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) at Combitech in Linköping

As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) at Combitech in Linköping, you will work on assignments for our clients focusing on quality improvements with their suppliers. As an SQE, you will collaborate with various functions both internally with the client and with the client's external suppliers. The assignments vary across product areas from the latest prototype development to high-volume production. Your role as a Supplier Quality Consultant

As an SQE, you will lead and drive improvement work with and at the client's suppliers related to purchasing quality. You will often work together with the purchasing department, where your tasks may include qualifying new suppliers and following up on performance in the existing supplier base across one or more purchasing areas. You will collaborate with the development department, purchasing, and the supplier to ensure the quality assurance of new components or systems in development projects and ensure that manufacturing processes at suppliers maintain high quality.

Your work will involve proactively preventing and addressing quality deficiencies at suppliers by independently performing follow-ups, process audits, and supplier assessments. You will lead and coordinate sustainability activities related to the client's supplier base, initiate and drive improvement projects in a long-term sustainability effort, and follow up and strengthen compliance with agreed improvement activities within, for example, complaint processes. Your tasks will likely also involve analyzing and initiating improvements in deviation management both at the supplier and internally with the client. Some travel may be required in this role.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a master's degree or equivalent academic background and experience in relevant roles within the manufacturing industry. In your daily work, you will meet people at all levels and functions, which places high demands on your communication skills and your ability to create a trusting and positive atmosphere. Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, in a technical context is required.

Since the position involves work that is subject to defense secrecy, you will need to undergo and pass a security clearance with a background check.
