Your Role

The Engineering section is responsible for providing technical services for maintenance within Mechanics, Hydraulics, Electromechanics, Safety Equipment, and Structures, for both military and civilian flight systems. The section includes Planning, Production Engineering, and Production Support.

In the role of Systems Engineer/Maintenance Technician, your tasks will involve technical consulting services to internal and external customers, including:

• technical investigations
• analysis of operations and maintenance
• certification of maintained equipment
• development of modification proposals
• creation of maintenance instructions
• development and production of testing and maintenance equipment, etc.

Project-related tasks may occur. You will also be able to conduct some training in the field.

Your tasks will also include providing internal technical support to our maintenance workshop and technical support to our marketing team, for example, in connection with the preparation of quotes and calculations.

The work is carried out very independently and offers great opportunities for variation and development, both theoretically and practically, within a very broad operational area.

Travel may occur in the service, both within and outside Sweden. In the future, we see good opportunities for overseas assignments for those who want and can.

The position is daytime-based and the location is Malmslätt, Linköping.

Your Profile

You may be a technician looking to take the next step in your career and develop in your field. Perhaps you are currently working in maintenance and seeking new challenges - or you are an engineer with an interest in working closely with operational activities.

We believe you have some form of technical education in one of the mentioned areas or several years of work experience in, for example, aircraft maintenance at the system/component level or similar maintenance activities. Previous experience in a technical role where you have worked with documentation and/or maintenance work within Saab is an advantage.

We will place great emphasis on your personal competencies in this recruitment and are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks, structures their work, and drives the process forward. You enjoy solving technical problems and have a good ability to collaborate with humility and flexibility.

You should have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form as the work includes documentation in both languages.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
