Your Role

Your words have the power to keep aircraft safely flying around the world. As a Publication Engineer for Saab 340, 2000, and GlobalEye, you develop service bulletins that guide maintenance procedures and ensure optimal performance for our global fleet. Your role is crucial for safety and efficiency.

You work both in a team and independently to gather, process, and compile information clearly and structured. All technical information is produced in Simplified Technical English (STE).

The work involves close collaboration with engineers to create service bulletins for technicians performing maintenance on Saab 340, 2000, and GlobalEye aircraft. Your ability to communicate and technical knowledge play an important role in keeping our aircraft airworthy.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Create service bulletins in our publication systems and update other maintenance manuals to reflect the information.
  • Act as a link between developers and users and work with structured technical information.
  • Search for information in databases, read drawings and technical documents.
  • Work in a team of about 30 people responsible for manuals for GlobalEye, T7, and Saab's civil aircraft.

Your Profile

We are looking for a Technical Writer preferably with a background in electronics.

  • Education in the electrical field or equivalent experience, with a strong interest and understanding of technology.
  • Several years of experience as a technical writer or in the electrical field.
  • Experience with Simplified Technical English, XML, SGML, iSpec 2200, and/or S1000D.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Good collaboration skills and easy to make contacts.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts simply.
