Framtiden is looking for a Power Commissioning Engineer

Framtiden is now seeking a Power Commissioning Engineer for a client in energy technology in Finspång. You will be part of a technically demanding operation where testing and commissioning of gas turbines in a test environment is conducted before delivery to the customer.

The role is suitable for you who enjoys hands-on work, wants to take responsibility, and work closely with technology, projects, and customers.

About the role

You will belong to a team responsible for testing and commissioning the core of the turbine. This means you will work with power commissioning, operation, and verification of the gas turbine in the test cell. The role combines technical responsibility, practical work, and customer contact.

The work is project-based, and you will be involved from the moment the project arrives at the team until the tests are completed and approved.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for the power commissioning of the gas turbine core in a test environment
Connect and verify all relevant electrical systems before test runs
Prepare and conduct runs according to established run profiles
Ensure that the right resources and functions are in place before testing
Coordinate work with mechanics, engineers, and project managers
Act as a technical contact person during customer visits during testing
Troubleshoot and address deviations during commissioning and operation

Introduction and training

You will have a mentor among experienced commissioning engineers in the team. The introduction is structured and initially focuses on one of the company's machine types, gradually broadening your competence. The goal is for you to feel confident in both work methods and technology before taking full responsibility.

About our client

The team consists of about 15–16 people with high technical competence. Roles in the group include mechanics, commissioning engineers/test leaders, and maintenance and electrical responsible. The group is experienced, cohesive, and works closely together in daily operations. The work is 100% on-site in Finspång.

Requirements

Vocational education in electrical engineering, automation, or equivalent
Good understanding of electricity and electrical safety (voltage, measurement, troubleshooting)
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and circuit diagrams
Experience with practical, hands-on work
Interest in control systems and technical wholes
Swedish and English in spoken and written form

Meritorious

Experience as an electrician or commissioning engineer
Experience working in a project environment
Familiarity with customer contact or collaboration with project managers
Previous work in smaller teams with shared responsibility
