The Assignment

As an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector in Norrtälje Municipality, you are offered a flexible and varied job where you spend your working days both in the field and at the computer. In your role, you primarily work with assessments and supervision as well as information and advice related to environmental and health protection issues.

In addition, you also have an important role in contributing to efficiency, digitalization, and automation through improvement proposals and deviations. You will be part of the Environmental and Health Protection Unit, which consists of about 25 employees. Together, we are a group that values open communication, high engagement, and fun at work!

We are looking for an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector for the Environmental and Health Protection Unit. As an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector, you will work with assessments and supervision within the framework of the Environmental Code and other related legislation. In this position, you will have a lot of contact with the public for advice and information, but you will also have contact with other units/offices within Norrtälje Municipality, authorities, business operators, and contractors.

You will have the opportunity to further develop within your work area but also have the chance to develop in other areas as the inspector role encompasses many different subject areas. What You Need to Bring

We are looking for someone with relevant education as an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector or other education and/or experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience from previous work related to environmental and health protection issues and work within a supervisory authority is an advantage. You must have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing and be able to create trust and confidence in your verbal and written communication. You also need to apply good customer service and maintain a high level of service. A B driver's license is required. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities and competencies.
