Job Responsibilities

You will belong to the finance section, which consists of four economists and two finance administrators. The section is led by a coordinator. You will primarily work with accounting and financial monitoring of externally funded research grants, including EU grants. The tasks include preparing project budgets, ongoing monitoring and forecasts, as well as reporting and final accounting of the projects. You will also work with reconciliations, producing relevant reports, requisitioning research grants, and other finance-related tasks. The work also involves close collaboration with our researchers, where you and the other project economist are responsible for your respective research groups. We support each other in the finance group and help out where needed.

We offer you a stimulating workplace in an international environment with varied tasks and pleasant colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic education in finance or equivalent education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, driven, and self-sufficient. Since the workload can be high at times and you often work against deadlines, it is important that you are stress-resistant and can prioritize your work. You will work in a support function, which means you need to be social, service-minded, and good at collaborating.

You should be well-versed in handling the MS Office suite with very good knowledge of Excel. The role also requires very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as a large part of our communication is in English.

Previous experience with the financial system Raindance or the personnel system Primula is considered an advantage. Experience from the higher education sector, other government operations, or similar, as well as experience in financial EU reporting, is particularly meritorious.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
