Job Responsibilities

The role of a secretary at the healthcare center involves more than just documentation in Cosmic and diagnosis coding. The secretary group has varied assignments and responsibilities that make the work both important and challenging. The position includes having your own administrative tasks for which you take independent responsibility. This includes staffing and having extra responsibility for our reception where you are the face of our patients. As a secretary, you will call patients according to waiting lists, write minutes, work as an HSA editor, and be an administrator in 1177. As a super user in Cosmic, you will assist other professional categories at the healthcare center and help introduce new staff. You will be part of a workgroup consisting of three medical secretaries. Improvement work for the entire healthcare center is an important part of the daily work.

The 11 region-operated healthcare centers in Västmanland and the healthcare centers' emergency clinics in Västmanland are run as an intrapreneurship with a board and Region Västmanland as the owner. Närvården Herrgärdet is a well-established clinic in the center of Västerås. We are responsible for approximately 12,700 registered patients, and our clinic includes medical and district nurse consultations, maternal and child health care, physiotherapy and occupational therapy services, as well as social work and dietetics. Since all professional categories for a healthcare center are gathered in the same building, we can offer our patients professional care.

Qualifications

To document in the journal system, you must have medical secretary training or equivalent education for medical secretaries. Experience in healthcare administration, preferably from working in a healthcare center, is an advantage for the position. We prefer that you have previous experience as an HSA editor or administrator in 1177, but otherwise, you will receive training in the areas you need. We prefer that you are familiar with the Cosmic journal system as we work in that system and that you have good computer skills in general. You master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who is responsible with a high sense of service. The work at the unit requires that you be flexible and that you enjoy and can collaborate with other people. You like and have an aptitude for handling many different tasks. Accuracy and quality in what you do are something you carry with you, and you plan and execute your work efficiently. For you, it is also natural to contribute to a positive work environment and to the development work of the organization. You will be offered a mentor during your initial time at the workplace. Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.
