The Security Department of the Swedish Migration Agency is part of the head office and has overall responsibility for security and preparedness within the agency.

At the Security Department, specialists work with information security, physical security, personnel security, crisis preparedness, civil defense, internal investigations, employee protection, and other security issues across the entire spectrum from operational protection to security protection.

The office is growing, and we are therefore looking for an analyst. The office has tasks related to operational planning, processing order, preparation process, administration of the department's case management system, conducting investigations and other assignments, producing decision-making materials for the department's managers, coordinating reporting, and writing responses to referrals. The office also has assignments related to security protection and is largely the entry point for external and internal inquiries to the department.

Main Responsibilities

As an analyst, you will be responsible for handling information relevant to the work of the Security Department and the agency. This means that you will gather, analyze, assess, and provide recommendations regarding measures, in which you can also be an active part. Collaborating, coordinating, ensuring a holistic perspective, packaging complex information so that it becomes easily understandable for managers and employees, and involving partners both internally and externally is important for this position. The work is characterized by a large variety of tasks. You create structure, identify areas for improvement and conditions for participation, and actively contribute to a culture of accountability and development.

Who are you?

You are structured, analytical, and have a broad perspective. You work towards set goals and have the ability to see the whole and its parts, which allows you to provide well-founded assessments and recommendations even in times of change. You are self-sufficient and confident in yourself, demonstrating very good judgment while creating engagement and building good collaborations. You have a high level of integrity and can balance important information, foresee and balance consequences and positions.

The position places very high demands on security and confidentiality awareness. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree (at least 120 credits) in a relevant field or other education combined with relevant experience for the role
• Experience in information management
• Experience in analytical work
• Several years of experience in security work within public operations, primarily government agencies
• Swedish citizenship

It is meritorious if you have:

• Understanding and knowledge of the Swedish Migration Agency's organization and mission
• Knowledge of and experience with the Swedish Migration Agency's internal processes
• Experience in security protection work and good knowledge of applicable legislation
• Experience in leading projects or development work

Security clearance with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. Based on this, there is a requirement for Swedish citizenship. Employment is contingent upon a successful security clearance.
