Kriminalvården is looking for an Object Specialist for the Transport Department

Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

The Transport Department (TA) is tasked with transporting and supervising persons deprived of liberty. These are Kriminalvården's clients who are moved between detention centers and prisons, to court hearings, and hospitals, among other places. TA also transports persons deprived of liberty for example for the Police, the National Board of Institutional Care, the Migration Agency, and psychiatry. For this position, there is an opportunity for placement in one of the following locations: Stockholm (Solna), Gothenburg, Malmö, or Arvidsjaur.

Please note that national travel may occur as part of the job!

Interviews will take place on Thursday, January 15, and for those who proceed, a security clearance interview will take place physically on Friday, January 16.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an object specialist, you will be part of the management organization for the management object Transport, together with the management leader and another object specialist. You will have a central role in the management and development of Kriminalvården's system support within the management object, primarily systems for transport planning and vehicle management. The work involves identifying and formulating development needs for the systems, specifying future functionality requirements, performing system maintenance, and managing access issues. You will also provide important support to users through support, training initiatives, and the development of support documents. The work requires high demands on your ability to work independently, take initiative, prioritize, as well as collaborate well in a group and cooperate outside your own department.

QUALIFICATIONS

To thrive in the role of Object Specialist, it is important that you are self-driven, quality-conscious, structured, and enjoy creating and maintaining good relationships, as a large part of the job involves collaboration both internally within the workgroup and with colleagues outside your own workgroup. Furthermore, you need to be meticulous, service-oriented, and enjoy developing systems and supporting colleagues with arising issues or questions regarding our planning and booking system TPS.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed upper secondary education or other education that Kriminalvården deems relevant.
  • Several years of experience in transport logistics and operational management of transports
  • Experience in system management and system development of logistics systems
  • Experience working in project form
  • Very good knowledge of the system structure and function of Kriminalvården's IT support system TPS
  • Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in system development, requirements, and testing
  • Post-secondary education in logistics or communication
  • Kriminalvården's basic training
  • Experience in implementing and phasing out IT support systems
  • Experience in user support and training for IT support systems
  • Good knowledge of establishing functional requirements in IT systems
  • Good knowledge of testing functionality in IT development
  • Knowledge of the PPS model
