Avarn Security is tasked with providing security services to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, which involves staffing Airport Security Officers, Security Guards, and Watchmen. For many years, we have also provided security services to Malmö Airport (Sturup), Sälen Airport (Scandinavian Mountains Airport), and Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen.

The work is based at Arlanda Airport where you will work in security checks as an Airport Security Officer. Your main task as an Airport Security Officer is to work with colleagues to ensure that no unauthorized persons pass through the security check and that all prohibited items are stopped. In the role of Airport Security Officer, it is important that you are attentive, stress-resistant, and have a high security mindset. We see that you are a responsible person with a strong focus on your work. The job is physically demanding, and during a workday, you will be standing and walking for most of the day. There are also some heavy lifts involved.

As a person, you are cheerful and positive and enjoy working with people. You want to contribute to ensuring that everyone receives a professional reception, from the frequent business traveler to the family going on their first trip. You can combine security and service, thus creating safety for both travelers and colleagues through your high security mindset.

The employment begins with mandatory training for 3 weeks, including both theoretical and practical parts. Avarn covers the training costs, and you will receive a salary during this period. After completing the training and internship with satisfactory results, you will have the opportunity to start working.

The working hours vary, and you must be prepared to work very early mornings, where the most common start time with us is 03:50. You will work shifts according to a fixed schedule, working both weekdays and weekends.

We offer part-time employment, 50% or 70%, starting in the spring of 2026.

We also offer summer jobs with a requirement of at least 8 weeks of availability (3 weeks of training + 5 weeks of continuous work) starting no later than June.

To be considered for the position, you must:

• Be of legal age
• Have Swedish citizenship
• Be without a criminal record* and law-abiding
• Be able to communicate well in Swedish and English
• Have good health and physical condition
• Not have any payment remarks or unresolved debts
• Have a passing grade in at least Swedish 1 and English 5 at the high school level or equivalent educational level
• Have functional color vision and hearing

* All personnel at an authorized security company must be approved in terms of lawfulness, civic reliability, and suitability. For the approval authority's assessment of a person's lawfulness and civic reliability, information from the criminal record or suspicion register or information processed by the Security Police under the law on the processing of personal data within the crime data law must be obtained.

To work at Arlanda, a successful security clearance is required, meaning you must be able to verify your employment over the past five years. This must be documented in the form of certificates, grades, or equivalent that document the period from December 2020 to now. Ensure that you have the documentation ready for a possible interview.
