About the role

As a Health & Safety Specialist, you are a key person in our workplace health and safety efforts. You work both strategically and operationally to support managers and employees, follow up on incidents, and drive preventive measures.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Visits to operations, coaching, and training to achieve the goal of zero accidents.
  • Implementation of working methods, risk identification, and action proposals.
  • Investigation of incidents and development of safety culture.
  • Participation in projects, internal audits, and maintenance of management systems according to ISO 45001.

You report to the health and safety manager for NCC Industry Sweden and collaborate with colleagues within Health & Safety. The area of responsibility is the Mälardalen region, and travel is included.

In this role, you contribute with knowledge about systematic work environment management and have a genuine interest in the field. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a degree in occupational health and safety engineering or another qualification deemed equivalent
  • Has experience in health and safety work, preferably within industry, construction, or civil engineering.
  • Has experience and enjoys speaking in front of both small and large groups related to your expertise.
  • Enjoys working independently and drives to continuously develop yourself and the work environment efforts.
  • Is good at building relationships and collaborating with others.
  • Has strong communication skills.
  • Is proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Experience in project management within the health and safety field.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and reporting systems such as Synergi.

Additional information

The position is a permanent employment with placement at one of NCC's offices in your region. A probationary period applies. A driver's license and access to a car are required as travel is part of the job. As part of NCC's safety culture, we conduct background checks on our final candidates.
