 What does the job as a support worker at Frösunda entail?

As a support worker, you will work at one of our accommodations to support, motivate, and stimulate the individual's own ability to perform activities in daily life. You work to provide each customer with individually tailored support that helps them create structure, routines, and planning in their everyday life.

The support is granted for individuals with different types of disabilities, which is why the individuals' skills, needs, and development guide our efforts. The goal is to create conditions for an active and meaningful life in a safe and pleasant environment.

As a support worker, your tasks will include documentation, creating implementation plans, and case management. Examples of tasks:

  • Daily chores such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, making beds
  • Documentation and reporting
  • Outings, walks, exercise, and activities
  • Personal care such as hygiene, showering, toilet visits, support, social presence
  • Support and motivate the customer for increased independence in their daily life

Working hours are scheduled according to the customers' needs and vary between day and evening, both weekdays and weekends.

About Gipsgjutaren group home

Our goal at Gipsgjutaren is to create an environment that promotes independence and communication. The accommodation, which opened in 2024, is located in the picturesque garden area of Enskede, Stockholm, just a short trip from the city center. The building is inspired by 1920s architecture and has been designed with care to harmonize with the local environment while offering modern and functional solutions. Gipsgjutaren consists of three floors with six individually adapted apartments and offers both private living and community.

The accommodation is specifically designed for individuals with extensive support needs requiring continuous communicative support. We utilize the latest technology, including eye-controlled computers and integrated systems such as Google Assist, allowing residents to control functions such as music, TV, and lighting themselves. Here, we strive for the environment to be as communicative as possible, with expertise in both analog and digital communication aids.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is calm, secure, and empathetic, with a flexible and solution-focused approach. You show commitment, curiosity, and a genuine interest in development, always putting the individual's needs and self-determination in focus. You thrive both in a team and with independent work.

  • Education in health and care (at least 1400 points), alternatively the child and leisure program with a focus on social/pedagogical work or other equivalent education.
  • Longer experience of LSS and care for individuals with multiple disabilities.
  • Solid experience in using various forms of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
  • Experience in creating a communicative environment using digital tools and products, as well as working with communicative and cognitive aids such as eye-pointing computers, signs, and pictures.
  • Good documentation skills with the ability to independently write implementation plans and document in social journals.
  • Good physical ability.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Rett Syndrome is an advantage.

Employment type: Temporary position

Scope: 75-85%

Start date: 2026-02-01

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
