Welcome to us! About the workplace
The individual and family care consists of three units, each led by a unit manager in close collaboration. The adult unit provides assistance under SoL, LSS, social psychiatry, as well as domestic violence and harmful use and dependence. The children and youth unit investigates the needs of children and young people for support and interventions according to SoL and LVU, and the labor and income support unit includes the labor market unit and financial assistance.

Your tasks
We are looking for a social worker for Labor and Income Support, within financial assistance. In the unit, we work to investigate and assess the right to financial assistance in a legally secure manner, provide our residents with advice and support, and guide them towards self-sufficiency. As the ultimate safety net of society, you will meet residents with various and sometimes complex needs. The reasons for income support issues can vary, but the goal is always to support individuals in achieving sustainable self-sufficiency, even if the path there may differ from person to person. We have high expectations of residents and work towards encouraging them to take responsibility for their life situation while considering their unique needs. This entails a balanced approach between setting demands and motivational work.
As a social worker in financial assistance, you are a significant link in the chain towards sustainable self-sufficiency. Some of your tasks will include:
- Investigating and assessing the right to financial assistance
- Mapping the individual's needs and matching them with appropriate interventions
- Establishing individual plans together with the individual
- Close collaboration with colleagues in other units and external partners to design the best support for the individual
About you
For this position, you need a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience and knowledge of working with financial assistance and change processes are advantageous. As part of the work involves documentation, you need to express yourself well in both speech and writing. Experience with the Lifecare operational system is also meritorious.
You are aware that a holistic view of residents' situations is required to achieve sustainable self-sufficiency. You have a positive outlook and believe that all individuals have their own resources, but sometimes need help to see those resources. You possess empathetic abilities but can also distinguish between personal and professional matters.
As a person, you are creative, solution-oriented, and eager to try new ideas. You have a coaching and motivating approach, as well as a good ability to collaborate and engage in dialogue. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your work in a structured manner that propels the work forward. You are stable and handle stressful situations constructively. You should have good analytical skills and not be afraid to make independent decisions based on your delegation. We place great importance on personal suitability.
