Make a difference. Every day.

Are you passionate about psychiatry and want to help develop our area of expertise?

The addiction care within Adult Psychiatry Helsingborg is undergoing change, and through this temporary position as a nursing assistant, you have the opportunity to be part of the transformation process by working at the Adult Psychiatry Clinic for Addiction following the care and support model Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT). Welcome to us!

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic for Addiction is one of the subspecialized clinics within the Helsingborg area. The clinic offers psychiatric health and medical care services in outpatient settings for individuals with substance use disorders, and simultaneously psychiatric comorbidity, of such significance that specialist investigation and specialist care are required. The clinic's mission includes diagnosis/investigation, care, and treatment of addiction conditions related to alcohol, medication, and narcotics.

The FACT care and support model is proven, but new to the clinic since spring 2024, and means that all assessments, investigations, and treatments of specialist psychiatric issues are based on a recovery-oriented, person-centered approach and standardized care processes in psychiatry. The clinic constitutes an internal team, to which we have connected an external team with representatives from the municipalities in our catchment area. By having the municipality and psychiatry work together with the patient and their network, there is a greater opportunity to provide the patient with the right support at the right level and at the right time. The work varies between pre-planned visits with patients, either at the clinic or home visits, as well as acute support interventions for patients who need more intensive support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities include performing planned and unplanned home visits, support via phone, and various administrative tasks, including documentation. Treatment can occur both individually and in groups. In your work at the clinic, you will continuously conduct independent assessments of patients' mental well-being and identify if they need further interventions. These potential interventions will then be carried out both by you individually and together with other team members. You will be part of an acute team that makes urgent visits to our patients. Through daily digital meetings with the external team, a structure for collaboration has been created, which increases the chances that participants receive the support they need. Patient visits occur where it benefits the patient best, which means a combination of visits to the clinic, home visits, or visits to another location.

The position also includes co-leading an activity group with a colleague and conducting sample collections, primarily urine sampling, under the delegation of a nurse. We have a strong focus on ensuring that individuals feel heard and involved in their care and strive to be as flexible as we can, based on the individual's needs and within the frameworks we have.

At the addiction clinic, work is conducted during the day.
