Welcome to Capio Healthcare Center Simrishamn – where experience meets commitment and everyday life shines!

Here, we have gathered all our knowledge under one roof – and it shows! With a staff of around 40 employees and many years of combined experience in primary care, we are a safe, competent, and cheerful team that together makes a difference for our approximately 9,300 registered patients – every day, throughout their lives.

We are located in newly renovated, bright premises at Simrishamn Hospital, with plenty of parking for those who drive. Here you will find most things – and a little more! We offer everything from medical consultations, nursing consultations, and district nurse consultations to specialized clinics for asthma/COPD, diabetes, dementia, elderly care, blood pressure, and children. We have our own lab, midwifery clinic, child health center, family center, psychologist, social worker, and dietitian.

And as the icing on the cake, we have a large rehabilitation unit with physiotherapists – and our own pool! Here, there is a buzz of activity, both in the water and on land.

With us, you will have a varied and meaningful job where you get to use your curiosity, clinical insight, and problem-solving skills every day. As a doctor, you are often the one who pieces together the patient's story with examinations and findings – and finds the way forward.

We work in a team-based manner and believe in the power of collaboration – here you are never alone in your assessments or decisions. We have daily joint assessments where you, together with a nurse, make medical evaluations of non-urgent patients. For sick leave cases, we collaborate closely between doctors, rehabilitation coordinators, and psychosocial resources – to provide the patient with the best possible support.

And you know what? With us, all doctors are permanently employed, both specialists and residents. This provides security, continuity, and a really good team spirit – we are building something together, long-term. Everyone works in teams, and each team includes 2 general specialists and one resident.

We believe in work-life balance, so you have the opportunity to influence your schedule and work from home some days. We use the digital tool Tandem for documentation – journals, referrals, and medical certificates – which makes the work smooth and efficient.

And if you enjoy sharing your knowledge, there is also the opportunity to mentor our residents.
