At the Infectious Diseases Department, we are a team consisting of different professions that support each other. With us, you will gain a thorough and broad knowledge base with natural points of contact with other specialties such as medicine, surgery, and orthopedics. We have a total of 14 beds for patients with severe medical conditions where the diagnoses encompass a wide variety of infectious diseases. In the department, we work cross-professionally in teams to provide our patients with the best possible care.

We actively work on improvement efforts regarding patient safety and patient safety risks, as well as regarding the work environment in the department. One aspect of this is structured competence enhancement through, for example, mandatory training days every month.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us at the Infectious Diseases Department, you will be offered a versatile and exciting job where you have the chance to develop a broad competence in medical care as well as within our specialty. Here you will receive stimulating and rewarding tasks regardless of whether you are newly graduated and want to create a broad base to stand on, or if you have several years of experience and want to deepen your competence.

In the role of a nurse, you will work in a team together with nursing assistants and doctors. During the day, you will always have a patient-responsible doctor and a pharmacist available. We work a lot with intravenous medication treatment and use medical technology equipment such as optiflow and monitoring equipment. Some of our patients carry resistant bacteria or are treated for infectious diseases, which requires isolation, but regardless of the patient's diagnosis, we work according to basic hygiene routines.

For newly hired staff, we offer an individually tailored introduction program based on your previous experiences. With support and follow-up from our nursing leaders, we ensure that you gain the knowledge you need to succeed in your role.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement. We would like you to have an interest in developing care and want to share your experience and positive joy with both the team and patients in our department.

We see that you enjoy working in a team and have good collaboration and communication skills while also having the ability to take your own initiatives and work independently. As a person, you are positive, responsible, and flexible. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and have the ability to handle and prioritize when the pace is high. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
