The habilitation service is designed to facilitate life for individuals with permanent disabilities and their relatives. The disabilities may be due to mobility impairment, intellectual disabilities, and/or autism. Our services are aimed at children and young people up to 17 years old and are based on interdisciplinary family-centered teamwork.

We are located in beautiful Ängelholm, close to both the sea and lovely nature. We have good commuting options, with a ten-minute walk from the train station to our location. Our reception is situated in newly built and purpose-designed facilities in the northern hospital area. At the habilitation reception for children and youth in Ängelholm, we have about 25 employees working in a cross-professional manner. Here, as a psychologist, you will work in a smaller unit with experienced and friendly colleagues, close to other partners in the hospital area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you enjoy a varied and developing job? Do you also like being part of a creative team? Then you should take the opportunity to apply to us at the Habilitation Reception for Children and Youth in Ängelholm! We are now welcoming a psychologist for a temporary position of about one year.

In your role as a psychologist, you will provide support, advice, guidance, and treatment to children, adolescents, and parents. Interventions can be provided both individually and in groups, where we meet patients at the habilitation center, at home, in preschool/school, or digitally via phone or video calls. You will participate in the planning of interventions together with children, adolescents, families, and other individuals in the network. Additionally, you will conduct psychological assessments and provide psychological treatment related to managing disabilities. You will collaborate with other actors such as preschools/schools, social services, and child and adolescent psychiatry, particularly the reception in Ängelholm.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed psychologist with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. Since travel is included in the job, you must also have a valid B driver's license. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with children and adolescents and/or experience in habilitation, as well as if you have previously worked with individuals with disabilities. You are accustomed to working with various IT systems, and since we now provide many interventions digitally, it is also important that you are open to digital healthcare contacts. We also welcome you who are newer in the profession and have an interest in the target group.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you have good collaboration skills and an interest in working both in interdisciplinary teams and across professional boundaries. You are confident in your professional role and plan, structure, and organize your work independently. In your work, you are willing to take your own initiatives and are flexible in your approach towards both patients and colleagues.
