Fornbackaskolan is a dual-parallel F-6 school with approximately 340 students and 80 staff members. We are a primary school and an adapted primary school, which also includes a department for students with mobility impairments. The school also has its own special education group and a municipal special education group.

We strive to make our outdoor environment appealing. We believe in an active recess where students and staff have the opportunity to socialize in various forms, with playfulness and creativity at the center. We are involved in the well-being program, which is a program for activity and inclusion, where friendly and respectful well-being leaders in grades 3-6 create opportunities for increased activity during recess.
At the school, we work based on a language and knowledge-developing approach. Here, the importance of communication and interaction is central. Teachers use cooperative support structures to encourage students to communicate and actively use language. The focus is also on expanding students' vocabulary by introducing new words in meaningful contexts and providing opportunities for students to use the words in conversation exercises or their own produced texts.
With the help of an accessible learning environment, we ensure that all students have a positive learning experience and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
In the classrooms, there is access to interactive whiteboards and tablets. All tablets are equipped with the programs available in Skolon, the municipality's shared digital platform.

Your tasks

We at Fornbackaskolan are looking for a teaching assistant for a student in preschool class with deafness.
As a teaching assistant, you will work alongside the teacher to ensure that the student can access the education and participate in social interactions.
The task is to support and develop the student's communication using visual support, sign language support, and sign language.

Requirements:
- Child care education, teaching assistant education, or other relevant pedagogical education
- Good knowledge of TAKK, sign language support, and sign language
- Experience working with students with deafness or other hearing impairments

Meritorious:
- Good knowledge of digital tools
- Experience working in educational activities such as schools or preschools
