Flexible Substitute Position at Lidingö's Adapted Primary School

At Lidingö's adapted primary school and youth activities, students with various disabilities attend. There are small classes with a high staff-to-student ratio, and the teaching is adapted to the students' learning and individual needs. The workplaces are filled with joy and engagement from both staff and students. With nature just a stone's throw away, it allows for outdoor education and other outdoor activities.

Lidingö municipality has 11 municipal primary schools, focusing on knowledge and enjoyable learning, which is reflected in our good academic results. We offer a school that is part of the digital society, and we place great emphasis on preparing students for the future. The school leaders and teachers in Lidingö exchange experiences, learn from each other, and develop together.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute, you are expected to step in where needed and with varying tasks. You will work together with and under the guidance of regular staff. You will receive an introduction when you start.

During school hours, you will work in one of our classes, providing support to both students and teachers in the teaching process. After school, younger students attend the school's after-school program, while older students move on to our youth activities. You participate with commitment and contribute to a meaningful and content-rich operation. You have a good approach and focus on the different needs of the youth.

We need you to be able to come in and work at short notice when regular staff are absent. This can be short assignments for a few hours a day, or longer assignments full-time for an extended period. Working hours may vary between 08:00 - 17:00 on weekdays and some weekday evenings until 21:00. You tell us when you are available to work, and then you will be offered jobs based on the existing conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is at least 18 years old and has completed secondary education. It is advantageous if you have experience working with students with special needs, preferably in special schools. You have a good ability to create positive relationships with students and can collaborate well with colleagues. You are structured, patient, and have a good approach towards the students.
