Torsviks School is Hiring a Class Teacher

Torsviks School was founded in 1907 and is located just after the Lidingö Bridge. We have nearly 900 students in grades F-9. Our activities complement preschool and school education and reinforce the work with the curriculum's goals. Torsviks School is a traditional school, and students achieve very high results. The teachers working at Torsviks School F-3 have all been with the school for a long time. The working climate among the entire staff is very good, which we all value and work to maintain.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Torsviks School F-3, there are 250 students from preschool to grade 3. The school and after-school care work together in three teams to provide children with a secure whole throughout the day. As a teacher with us, you will conduct work that places the student's learning at the center.

You are an engaged teacher who can inspire and motivate students in their knowledge development. You start from the students' perspective when you, together with other staff and management, organize, drive, and develop the school. Your approach to the assignment is solution-oriented, and you keep the student in focus. You will work closely with students, parents, special educators, and special teachers. You will have access to continuous professional development and guidance.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified teacher for younger ages. You have digital competence and experience working within various systems and see digitalization as a natural arena for teaching. It is an advantage if you have specific knowledge in reading and writing instruction and experience teaching at the lower primary level. You place the child at the center in all situations and have a good ability to develop and plan teaching in collaboration with colleagues. You are independent, stable, and clear, and you find it easy to collaborate with colleagues, management, students, and parents.

OTHER

The municipality applies individual salary setting. The position is a temporary contract starting by agreement until October 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension.
