Start date: preferably February

Location: Stockholm

Employment form: Fixed-term employment for 1 year with the possibility of extension

We are now looking for a housing coordinator for our sheltered accommodation. The position of housing coordinator is newly established, which means it will initially be partially designed in consultation with the operations manager. The housing coordinator has a particular overarching responsibility for the women residing in the accommodation, ensuring they receive the support and assistance they need. This may include support in their current situation, processing of violence, future orientation, safety planning, and practical assistance in dealing with authorities. The housing coordinator is also expected to plan and implement activities for women and children in the accommodation in collaboration with other staff. The role also involves planning and conducting activities, managing risk assessments and safety work, and working closely with social services, police, and other relevant actors. You will also be on-call in this position, which means you are expected to work as needed during evenings and weekends. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the accommodation and supervise other staff at the facility.

Job Responsibilities

• Support conversations and practical assistance: Provide counseling and crisis support to women and children in the accommodation. Experience in crisis work and psychosocial support is particularly valuable here.

• Risk assessment and safety work: Responsible for safety routines, risk assessments, and documentation according to applicable regulations.

• Collaboration and documentation: Work closely with social services, police, and other authorities. Documentation according to applicable (Social Services Act) regulations.

• Planning and activities: Participate in the daily operations of the accommodation in collaboration with colleagues and be available as support for women and children.

• Perform administrative tasks such as documentation, participation in workplace meetings, and represent the organization in various contexts.

• On-call duty: Evening and weekend work may occur as part of the job.

• Work with practical tasks in the operation and accommodation together with other employees. We are a small workplace where a high degree of personal responsibility, close collaboration, and participation in other tasks that may occur at a women's shelter is required.

To succeed and feel secure in the job, we wish for you to meet the following profile:

We Offer

• A meaningful job: You will be part of developing a service that makes a difference for deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind women and non-binary individuals who have been, are, or are at risk of being subjected to violence in close relationships.

• A rewarding work environment: You will work in a humane and developing environment. Our goal is to have a team with open communication and a relaxed atmosphere, creating a positive and pleasant work environment for all.

• A workplace with security and good working conditions: You will be covered by a collective agreement and offered wellness benefits. You will work in a relatively newly established and simultaneously expanding organization addressing one of society's most stigmatized issues – men's violence against women and children. No day is the same with us, and hopefully, you will find meaning in the work you do within our organization. We achieve a lot through collective efforts, by being kind to each other, daring to use a good portion of courage and humor, and always striving to interpret each other positively.
