The Social Administration in the City of Stockholm has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and disability services. Here, we create good conditions to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service, and we have a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures is offered to the city's residents, and the offerings change based on the needs of Stockholmers and the wishes of the district administrations. The work often occurs in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and businesses. The Social Administration is also responsible for the city's serving and tobacco permits and conducts supervision.

The Söderort emergency and short-term housing is located in Svedmyra and offers five places for youth aged 13-19 who are in need of emergency housing and care.
Placements vary from one night to two months and are made with support from SoL (Social Services Act) or LVU (Care of Young Persons Act) via Stockholm's social emergency service or Stockholm's district administrations. The operation also includes a residential home (HVB) that offers eight places for youth with social issues.
The workgroup consists of 24 employees with positions such as social workers, night treatment assistants, administrative assistants, unit managers, and a group leader. The workgroup staffs both the emergency and short-term housing as well as the residential home.

Your role
As a social worker, you play a significant role in creating a safe and pleasant environment for the youth. Since placement times are short, the focus will be on maintaining the structures and routines that the youth have and creating a sense of coherence. You will work from a milieu therapeutic approach and provide youth with conversations and support based on their individual needs. You will also support the youth in their contact with parents, schools, social services, BUP, and other important contexts. The work also involves being a contact person for one or more youth with the ambition to meet needs and adapt methods based on the individual and assignment.
You will work based on assignments from Stockholm's social emergency service and the placing social services and are responsible for documentation as well as designing and following up on implementation plans. The operation is organized to be as homelike as possible, which includes all practical tasks that usually occur in a home, such as cooking, cleaning, and helping with homework.
The role also includes working as a social worker at Söderort HVB as needed. You will work based on a rotating schedule with shifts during days, evenings, and weekends.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- a degree in social work
- experience in social work that involves providing motivational and supportive measures to children and youth in everyday life
- experience in supportive work with networks around children and youth such as family, social services, schools, etc.
- experience working with youth with social issues and challenging behavior
- experience in documentation work
- good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you have:
- experience working in HVB homes or other activities that the employer assesses as equivalent
- experience and knowledge of low-arousal approaches
- experience in authority exercise within children and youth
- training in neuropsychiatry
- training in milieu therapy.
- experience collaborating with BUP
- experience in child conversations, family conversations
- experience in investigative work within children and youth.

Since placements occur urgently and around the clock, it is important that you are resilient and adaptable with the ability to quickly adjust and meet a new youth with respect and warmth. Finally, it is important that you can collaborate and have a good ability to create and build relationships with others.
