Job Responsibilities

At the Reception Unit of the Family Department, there is a Field Group that targets children and youth up to 18 years old. We are now looking for Summer Field Workers for the Field Group.

The Field Group in Karlstad is part of the Reception Unit at the Family Department. There are six social workers who work with outreach social work and crime prevention. The Field Group aims to be where the youth are and works to identify those at risk early, as well as represent social services and contribute to easily accessible social services.

We know that young people are most active outdoors during spring and summer, and therefore we want to strengthen our staffing with summer field workers. Are you interested in working in the field?

Summer job from week 25-33, and you will work a few extra days before starting to shadow an experienced colleague.

Working hours are scheduled, mainly afternoons and evenings, weekdays, and Saturdays.

The regular activities of the workgroup include various components, including traditional fieldwork aimed at preventing and identifying youth at risk of substance abuse and crime. Job responsibilities include collaboration with the police, culture and leisure, and schools, as well as administrative duties in the form of preliminary assessments and work with young offenders (reports, youth service, and mediation).

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are studying social work. It is an advantage if you have completed your practical training (VFU). It is also advantageous if you have experience working with at-risk youth, outreach social work, administrative duties, or other work with children and youth.

In addition to competence and experience, special consideration will be given to complementing the group based on personal qualities.

Interviews may begin during the application period.

A driver's license for manual transmission is required.
