Department's Mission
The department's mission is to provide adults with guidance and education in lifelong learning. Within the department, there is also guidance and support for adults' individual development towards self-sufficiency. The department is responsible for integration and also coordinates labor market policy measures.
Description
The open care is part of the Individual and Family Care, IFO, consisting of Family Support that works with support conversations, guidance, and treatment work, and the addiction reception Trappan that works with treatment and support for harmful use and addiction.
The target group is individuals and families who receive services approved by the social services. The work does not involve any authority exercise, but documentation is required in accordance with applicable regulations for social work.
The tasks are varied, and the needs of those who seek us differ greatly. This requires great flexibility from us as a treatment service. The tasks are performed both independently and together with colleagues within the group. The work takes place both at our office and in the individual's or families' home environment. The position primarily targets family support, but we are one and the same open care, and assignments in collaboration with the addiction reception also occur.
In the role of family therapist, you will be part of the open care consisting of family therapists, addiction therapists, and treatment assistants who work with assessed assistance measures, as well as a curator and family educator who work with preventive social work in collaboration with family centers and youth reception.
As a family therapist, you will conduct therapeutic conversations with clients and work closely with therapists and social workers to achieve the goals set by the board in the individual case. It is common to collaborate with other actors such as schools, BUP, etc., to support the individual in their current life situation. There is a case supervisor linked to the open care who supports daily work, and as an employee with us, you will have access to external supervision.
Tasks
Your main tasks will involve working with psychosocial treatment. In collaboration with colleagues and clients, you will establish implementation plans and work based on them to achieve the set goals. You will work with families in different constellations and in various places such as homes, schools, and our facilities. You will focus on the child's perspective and the child's best interests. The work in family support should be characterized by an implementation plan according to BBIC with clear and realistic goals. The work also includes network work and collaboration with other actors and providers in the relevant families' lives.
Forshaga Municipality works with a family-oriented approach, which means we collaborate around the whole family if they have services aimed at both children and adults within the same family, which is why collaboration between the open care's and IFO's various parts is of great importance.
The open care designs the implementation based on assignments from social services and can include various components such as family treatment, support in daily routines, addiction treatment, and drug testing.
Qualifications
To work as a family therapist, we see that you have a degree in social work or equivalent higher education that the employer considers relevant, as well as experience in social work with families.
Overall knowledge of the Social Services Act and documentation is also a requirement.
A valid driver's license (B) is required.
It is advantageous if you have experience in family treatment and work with harmful use and addiction. The methods and approaches we use include Signs of Safety, environmental therapy, MI, BIFF, Safe Room and Hanna and Theo, ICDP, ÅP, and interaction observations.
