Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet is one of Sweden's most modern and largest upper secondary schools.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for two dedicated youth supporters for Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet. We are looking for someone who can be a role model and a key person in our students' school life. Together with the students, you will create the best school days through activities, good relationships, safety, and well-being, as well as a strong sense of community. You will be available to support students during breaks and in various study situations as needed throughout the school day. The starting point for the work is to be there for our students and to work with preventive and promoting health efforts every day, to contribute to the conditions for all students to succeed. You will be part of our school social team and will also have close collaboration with the school's student council. To some extent, the work will be scheduled for evenings and weekends.

Your responsibilities will include:

• motivating, supporting, and helping our students during breaks and lunches or when needed
• being a role model and being able to handle acute situations that arise
• engaging in conversations and establishing good relationships
• planning and executing activities that strengthen the community among students
• alternating between individual and group levels
• actively participating in the design and development of safety work
• staffing the reception and cafeteria in our social areas as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is educated as a social pedagogue/behavioral scientist/health educator or has a similar education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with youth and/or young adults. An important quality is your ability to build relationships and your capacity to motivate and support students. As a person, you are secure and have a low-arousal approach. You are a clear and attentive person who is flexible and can easily adapt to different needs and situations. You are proactive, contribute to work joy, creativity, and good collaboration with your colleagues. We place great importance on personal suitability for the position.

The position will be filled subject to the necessary decisions being made.
