Description

As a preschool assistant, you play an important role in creating a safe and stimulating environment for children where they can learn and develop as individuals.

By engaging in children's play and activities, you help them develop social and emotional skills while also helping them build confidence and independence.

We are now looking for two preschool assistants for the following temporary positions:

• Daggkåpan Preschool: February - June 2026
• Morkullan Preschool: February - June 2026

Morkullan Preschool in Skattkärr has newly renovated facilities and a hilly yard that inspires play and learning. The preschool consists of five departments and is characterized by close collaboration among educators. We work playfully with common themes that spark curiosity, imagination, and participation, always focusing on the children's age and interests.

Daggkåpan Preschool is located in a quiet residential area near a forest and sports field. Here, there are spacious facilities and a yard with natural elements that encourage exploration. We work from a common pedagogical platform and a playful pedagogical approach where the entire preschool follows a theme that brings the curriculum to life through play, joy, and community.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool assistant, you work together with preschool teachers based on current governing documents and implement and develop the pedagogical activities. You assist in planning and conducting activities that promote children's development and learning. You are responsible for providing children with a safe and secure environment in the preschool.

Your main tasks will be to:

• Participate in planning and implementing pedagogical activities.
• Create a safe and stimulating environment for the children.
• Document children's development and learning.
• Maintain close contact with guardians.
• Support during meals, rest, and hygiene.

As a preschool assistant, you have an invaluable role where you help and inspire children in their activities. It is an important and varied job where you need to be prepared for no day being the same.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a qualified preschool assistant through upper secondary or post-secondary education equivalent to at least 1300 points.

As a person, we see that you are flexible and easily adapt to different situations and needs in the organization. You are stable and secure in your professional role, which creates trust among both children and colleagues. We value good collaboration skills, as the work is based on creating a stimulating and safe environment together. Additionally, you are relationship-building and have the ability to establish positive and trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues.
