The individual and family care services in Grums Municipality are organized into two units – one for adults/LSS and one for children and youth. We are now looking for an engaged social worker for the children and youth unit. The unit works to promote safety, development, and well-being for children, youth, and their families, and is responsible for providing support and protection in vulnerable life situations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker, you will work with both preventive measures and authority exercises. Your main tasks will involve investigating and handling child welfare cases for children and youth aged 0 to 20 years according to SoL and LVU.

The professional meeting with the child and family is at the center of the work, where the best interests of the child are always guiding. Collaboration with guardians, schools, healthcare, and other internal and external actors is a natural and important part of the assignment.

With us, you will have a broad and varied job where you handle both complex and developing cases. The work is carried out in close cooperation with the child, their family, and network. The work group consists of ten social workers and two senior social workers.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and a B driver's license, as well as good knowledge of the Social Services Act and LVU.

Experience working with children and youth within social services, preferably in combination with investigative work, is an advantage. Familiarity with operational systems such as Procapita and working methods according to BBIC is also seen as a benefit.

As a person, you have a genuine interest in people and the ability to combine a professional authority role with warmth and engagement. You work in a structured and independent manner, take responsibility for your cases, and enjoy collaborating in a team. You express yourself well in both speech and writing and find it easy to establish trusting relationships.
