Job Description

We are looking for a project communicator for a large wastewater treatment project in Malmö. As a project communicator, you will be part of the program organization and placed in the Communication function. You will be responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the project. You are expected to collaborate closely with the head of Communication and other project managers. You have overall responsibility for the project both internally and externally. This means strategically planning and driving the communication work as well as executing planned communication efforts together with the projects and the Communication function according to the program's working methods and coordinating the communication efforts.

The initial scope of the assignment is at least 50%, after 1 month it will increase to 100%, and then it may vary in scope during periods.

The assignment includes the following tasks:

• Initiate, plan, lead, control, and close the project.
• Analyze communication needs, identify target groups, messages, activities, and channels.
• Monitor the environment to identify communication needs.
• In collaboration with the projects and their experts, develop communication strategies and communication plans, routines, templates, and checklists, and keep these updated.
• Create understanding of the projects among both internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate communication.
• Plan and implement practical communication activities that are then followed up and evaluated.
• Communicate to relevant target groups in general.
• Continuously manage incoming feedback from external and internal stakeholders.
• Support and coach the project's spokespersons in preparation for presentations or when contacting the media.
• Establish a timeline for the project's communication work and keep it updated.
• Contribute to the program's budget work with costs for the project's communication activities.
• Report according to routine to both the project and function.
• Contribute to the continuous development of communication work.

Qualifications:

• Academic education in communication or equivalent deemed comparable
• Knowledge areas: internal communication, external communication, media management, crisis communication
• Good knowledge of relevant work tools according to industry standards
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• 15 years of experience in initiating, planning, executing, and following up communication work at a strategic and operational level externally.
• Experience working with communication in large construction projects.
• Experience in internal communication in large complex organizations.
• Experience in crisis communication work.
• Ability to work in an event-driven environment with rapid changes.
• Experience handling press inquiries and supporting and coaching spokespersons.
