As a support assistant, you work at one of our residences to support, motivate, and stimulate the individual's own ability to perform activities in daily life. You work to provide each customer with individually tailored support that helps them create structure, routines, and planning in their everyday life.

The support is granted for individuals with various types of disabilities, which is why the individuals' skills, needs, and development guide our efforts. The goal is to create conditions for an active and meaningful life in a safe and pleasant environment.

The tasks of a support assistant include documentation, preparation of implementation plans, and contact management. Examples of tasks:

• Daily chores such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, making beds
• Documentation and reporting
• Excursions, walks, training, and activities
• Personal care such as hygiene, showering, toilet visits, support, social presence
• Support and motivate the customer for increased independence in their daily life

Working hours are scheduled according to the customers' needs and vary between day, evening, and night, both weekdays and weekends.

Brolunda is a group home located in a residential area in western Södertälje, close to both green areas and the city center. The residence has six places and the target group is adults within LSS person group 1.

You communicate and meet everyone you encounter in your professional role with respect, warmth, care, and professionalism, instilling confidence in your interactions with others.

The work as a support assistant is subject to confidentiality, therefore it is a prerequisite and a requirement to follow, respect, and understand the implications of current confidentiality regulations and the customer's personal integrity in order to work in our organization.

• We are looking for applicants with training as a care assistant or other education and/or experience deemed equivalent.
• You need to have previous experience working with LSS and have experience in care and be comfortable performing care work.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
• You need to have good physical ability as it is a prerequisite for being able to perform the work as a support assistant.
• Experience from work in psychiatry, elderly care, daily activities, or similar is highly meritorious.

Employment type: Part-time employment as needed

Scope: Determined by the needs of the organization 

Start date: Immediately

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis and part-time positions may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
