The Social Services for Individuals and Families is an area of focus dedicated to providing good service and support to our citizens and is responsible for public authority duties. The Adult Unit handles economic assistance, addiction treatment, domestic violence, and LSS case management. The Children and Youth Unit deals with family law, foster care, support and treatment, and family centers. Work is conducted both for individual clients and at the group level. We have a special responsibility for vulnerable groups.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Social Services for Individuals and Families is now looking to recruit a social worker focusing on children and youth. The role involves standard tasks as a social worker in the children and youth group. You will investigate and follow up on cases according to SoL and LVU, for the age group 0-20 years. Work is conducted with children/youth and their parents, their networks, and in collaboration with other professionals who have the same target group, aiming to promote the development of children and youth. Daily work is led and distributed by a unit manager. Resources for support and treatment are available locally. The operation is located in newly renovated and pleasant premises close to the train station in central Charlottenberg. We offer a friendly workgroup and a good introduction, and we will do our best to help you settle in with us.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in social work is required for the position. Experience with BBiC and knowledge and experience working with children and youth in vulnerable life situations are advantageous.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

You need to have a B driver's license.

You should be comfortable with the authority role and well acquainted with current legislation. You possess a professional demeanor, are meticulous, and have a willingness to meet people in difficult situations. You have good collaboration skills, are outgoing and engaged, can express yourself easily in speech and writing, are flexible, and can vary your tasks according to the needs of the operation and unit.

As a person, you are secure in yourself and your profession. You find it easy to build relationships, create trust, and are persistent and curious about people's differences. You should also have an interest in working in a learning organization.
