JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Torsby Municipality is seeking a social worker with a focus on children and families. The social worker will work with authority enforcement where the main tasks are to handle child welfare cases for ages 0-20 according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), as well as other relevant legislation.

The workgroup currently consists of 7 social workers, a social administrator, and an IFO manager. This position is an expansion of the existing workgroup. The workgroup is divided into an Investigation Group, which includes a reception function for children and youth, and an Implementation Group. We are looking for a social worker who will primarily handle follow-ups for placed children and ensure that their care needs are met.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and preferably previous experience in authority enforcement within the field of children and youth. You are structured and flexible in your work and can take the initiative in collaboration with other authorities. You have the ability to cooperate with others in a team, are humble, can make decisions, and have a humanistic view of people that means you believe in the equal value of all individuals and trust in their ability to develop their own resources.

You should have a good understanding of applicable legislation and be able to independently plan and organize your work effectively while working flexibly under your own responsibility. You should be able to express yourself clearly and simply in both speech and writing. Personal suitability is highly valued.

A driver's license is required as the job involves travel.

It is considered an advantage if you have knowledge of investigation methods and assessment tools such as BBIC, Signs of Safety, and experience working with the Lifecare operational system.
