The Adult Education in Kristinehamn is now looking for an engaged and attentive counselor who wants to work in a school where the health-promoting perspective is in focus and where students' well-being is at the center.

We see you as an important and driving force to coach students both socially and academically, with students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues.

Organizationally, the adult education is under the Department of Work, Skills and Welfare, whose core mission is to provide support and assistance for people to become self-sufficient and live an independent life.

The Adult Education in Kristinehamn also offers vocational training in Professional Driver for bus and goods, healthcare and social services, childcare, cooking, and industrial CNC orientation.

The programs are popular and we have a high demand. Our premises are located at Brogymnasiet and Tegelslagaregatan 2, both centrally located and just a stone's throw from the Travel Center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker/counselor in adult education, you are an important part of our students' development and well-being. You meet adult students throughout Komvux.

Your main tasks include:

• individual support conversations with students
• supervision of staff in psychosocial issues
• psychosocial investigations and assessment of study conditions
• cross-professional work in resource teams
• collaboration with healthcare institutions, authorities, and social services
• investigating the need for adapted support in studies.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have a degree in social work and several years of experience as a counselor for adults. You are secure, independent, and have a genuine interest in people with different backgrounds and conditions.

We would like you to have:

• experience in adult education, social services, or employment services
• knowledge of migration issues, PTSD, or mental health
• experience working with individuals with disabilities
• a solution-focused, flexible, and collaborative attitude.

A valid driver's license is a requirement.
