Your Workplace

The Rehabilitation Specialist Care at the Central Hospital in Karlstad is a unit within the health and rehabilitation sector. Approximately 80 employees work in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and music and art therapy. The unit also employs rehabilitation assistants.

The Rehabilitation Specialist Care works with rehabilitation across several different clinics at the Central Hospital in Karlstad, such as neurology, geriatrics, oncology, infection, pediatrics, women's clinic, surgery, medicine, orthopedics, ICU, among others, both in outpatient and inpatient care.

We are now looking for

physiotherapy and occupational therapy students who want to work with us during the summer and thus get a good start in their future careers as physiotherapists/occupational therapists. We offer you an educational summer!

Your Responsibilities

The work will involve varied tasks to support the physiotherapists and occupational therapists and ensure that the work within the unit runs smoothly during the summer. You will work to help our patients achieve or maintain the best possible functional ability, greater independence, and good health. In inpatient care, you will meet patients of all ages, with different types of issues and at various stages in life. You will work closely with our licensed staff.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are studying to become a physiotherapist or occupational therapist and are interested in working in inpatient care. We see it as an advantage if you have completed up to semester 4. Previous experience in healthcare is an asset. We want you to be engaged and have good collaboration skills. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
