Senior Backend Developer – Java (NW X-Box)

About the Assignment

We are looking for 1-2 experienced Java developers for an exciting assignment with our client in Stockholm. You will be part of a team that develops and enhances Java-based applications for taxation, account management, and investment processes related to pension and savings products.

As a consultant, you will play a central role in creating robust calculation engines and solutions that ensure compliance with current tax regulations in multiple countries.

Your Main Responsibilities

Design, development, and maintenance of Java applications within savings and investments
Develop and optimize calculation engines considering applicable legislation
Build integrations with external parties and authorities
Participate in the entire development cycle – from requirements analysis to delivery
Collaborate closely with business analysts and domain experts to translate business needs into technical solutions

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Java 21+
Experience with Spring and Hibernate
Good knowledge of SQL and working with databases (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, etc.)
Experience with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI
Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of design patterns and object-oriented development
