Senior Backend Developer – Java (Stockholm)

We are now looking for a Senior Java Developer for an exciting assignment with our client in Stockholm! You will be a central part of a new initiative where the client's IT solution for external fund orders is being rebuilt from the ground up with modern technology.

About the Assignment

Our client is changing partners for executing orders in external funds in Sweden, Norway, and Finland. At the same time, a completely new IT solution is being built based on modern microservices in Java 21, Spring Boot, and MS SQL. You will contribute to development, test automation, and integration via REST and Kafka, together with a dedicated team of developers and architects.

Examples of Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend solutions in Java 21 / Spring Boot

• Implement test automation with JUnit and Cucumber

• Work with Kafka, REST APIs, and MS SQL

• Participate in design, development, testing, and release work

• Collaborate closely with the frontend team (React) and the business

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Java 21

• Spring Boot

• MS SQL

• Kafka

• JUnit and Cucumber (test automation)

Meritorious:

• Experience from financial systems

• Knowledge of Cross-border Cash Payments

• Swedish language skills

Assignment Information

• Start: January 5, 2026

• End: January 31, 2027

• Location: Stockholm (on-site, 0% remote)

• Scope: Full-time (40 hours/week)
