Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for a teacher for grades 4-6 at Sundsbroskolan!
You will be part of a team of teachers who together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development, as well as deciding on any needs for subject integration or project studies in your classes. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach students in grades 3-6 in wood and metal crafts, where you will educate and support students in their social and academic development.
You challenge students to take their own initiatives, suggest material choices, design, and document the process. At Sundsbroskolan, you will be offered work in newly renovated premises and participate in the school's development work. In addition to your team of teachers, you will also collaborate with the school's excellent textile crafts teachers and be led by an approachable manager who works based on trust-based leadership.
Your assignment may also involve mentoring some of our students starting from autumn 2025. In your role as a mentor, you will have specific responsibility for a group of students, allowing you to follow their study development and personal maturity more closely. As a mentor, you will inform and keep the student's guardians updated on the student's study development through development discussions every term.
Qualifications
You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching grades 3-6 in wood and metal crafts. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we consider it an advantage.
You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. It is advantageous if you have previously assigned grades.
Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. We would like you to have experience with low-arousal responses and experience working with extra adaptations and support structures at the group level. To fit as a primary school teacher with us, it is important that you want to collaborate with colleagues and be involved in the school's professional development, as well as that you enjoy working with values-based issues.
Welcome with your application!
