ABOUT THE POSITION

As a student informant, you will work with your team to help Vision grow as a trade union by recruiting new student members at your university. Your tasks mainly consist of having information booths, giving classroom presentations, and participating in fairs and job market days. You will also work with marketing and keep track of what is happening at your university. In your role, you will also provide information and support to our existing student members. You and your team will drive the local operations and member growth while receiving support and coaching from operational leaders or section leaders.

You will be offered:

  • The freedom to largely set your own working hours and develop the position within the framework of the assignment.
  • A fixed hourly wage and the possibility of a salary increase each term.
  • Experience and training in communication, sales, and marketing.
  • Wellness benefits, overtime pay, travel compensation, kick-offs.
  • Introduction to and knowledge about the trade union world.
  • A merit for your future career!

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Are a student at Umeå University.
  • Have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

It is an advantage if you:

  • Have experience in service and/or sales.
  • Have at least 1 year left of your studies.
  • Have been or are engaged in student life at your university.

To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:

  • Collaborate well in a team.
  • Social, outgoing, and creative.
  • Results-driven and enjoy working towards goals.
  • Responsible, proactive, and solution-oriented.

Other:

The position is a fixed-term employment for approximately 15 hours/month. The starting salary is 140 SEK/hour excluding vacation pay with the possibility of a salary increase each term. We assume that you share the values of the trade union movement, but you do not need to have any prior knowledge of Vision or the union - you will learn that from them. The start will begin with a two-day training on January 14-15, 2026, at Vision's office in Stockholm, and Vision will cover any travel expenses.

We will review applications on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
