About the Position Are you looking for a part-time job where you can meet people, spread joy, and contribute to something important every day? Here you have the chance to be part of a context where service and care make a difference. 

We at Middlepoint are now looking for someone who wants to work part-time in the reception at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna. This is an assignment through our parent company Coor, which staffs the reception. Our vision is to deliver star-class service to a world-class hospital, and in this work, you are our most important resource. You will work in a service team of five people where collaboration and good communication are crucial for the work to run smoothly. The position involves a dynamic job where you move around a lot within the hospital area during your working day.

Your tasks include, among other things:

  • Welcoming and directing patients and visitors in an efficient, needs-adapted, correct, and friendly manner. • Administrative tasks, ordering taxis and transportation services, and receiving and managing lost property. • Distributing wheelchairs and searching for wheelchairs throughout the hospital area and returning them. • Escorting visitors to and from departments. Acting in critical/emergency situations (e.g., evacuation). • Working in parallel operations such as service centers and conference services.

The role also includes taking personal responsibility for staying updated on the hospital's organization and Coor's agreement with the client. Together with your colleagues, you will continuously work to develop the reception's work, improve routines, and contribute to a good working environment. Who are you? During your working day as a receptionist, you will have daily contact with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy collaborating and treat everyone with the same kindness, attentiveness, and humility. You show adaptability and actively contribute to good cooperation.

Since the hospital environment can sometimes involve serious situations, it is important that you are confident in yourself and attentive to the needs of others. To succeed in the role, you need to have a well-developed ability to read both people and situations, make quick decisions, and act accordingly.

Requirements for the Position

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, other language skills are an advantage
  • Experience in a similar role within a service profession with a focus on customer interaction
  • Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Completed high school education

Employment Employment type: Hourly employment Employment degree: As needed  Conditions and expectations: There is a great need for extra work both during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. We would like you to be available to work about 3–4 days a week. You are expected to input your availability into our scheduling app each week.  Start: Immediately Working hours on a rotating schedule: Monday - Friday 06:45-19:30 and Saturday - Sunday 09:15-17:30.
