JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to make a difference as a support assistant for people living in housing with special services? We are looking for new colleagues who want to provide support to individuals in their daily lives both inside and outside the home. The individuals we meet have varying support needs due to disabilities, which is why we are looking for someone who can provide support to people in different life situations.

Right now, we are looking for hourly substitutes for our Intraprenad, which consists of three units, where the idea is that you will gradually be offered to work in all units. Currently, the need for substitutes is greatest in a unit that caters to individuals who are at an early developmental stage and who have both physical and intellectual disabilities.

We work on the premise that each individual should be involved and have the opportunity to influence how their day looks and what they need support with. The individual should be given the opportunity to develop towards as independent a life as possible. Therefore, in this role, it is important to have "an eye for small details", i.e., to be a good observer. The support includes all everyday situations both at home and during leisure time. We also provide support for social activities/health-promoting activities, such as water aerobics, horseback riding, walks, etc.

We document in the documentation system Treserva. If you have not previously used the systems used within the City of Gothenburg, you will receive training.

Our units are located at the following addresses: Flintyxegatan 4, Hagens stationsväg 34, and Björkedalsgatan 34.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone with relevant education, such as support assistant education/Child and Leisure Program/care program, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. It is advantageous if you have experience working with people with various disabilities, experience in neuropsychiatry, dementia, LAB (low-arousal approach), and various forms of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication). Feeding through a tube, providing support during epilepsy, and having a driver's license and good driving experience (a driver's license is required in one unit). Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

To work as a substitute within support services, you must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with the regulations regarding minors' working environment (AFS 2012:3). If you do not meet the passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered a language test via EducateIt.
