Volunteer Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

In the role of Volunteer Coordinator, you will work with colleagues to coordinate and administer volunteer assignments, develop and engage volunteer efforts, and support and inspire volunteers in their tasks along the way, from start to finish. You are the spider in the web and ensure that the logistics around all volunteer efforts work both socially and practically. You collaborate on overarching issues to create added value for volunteers and participants by contributing new ideas, perspectives, your enthusiasm, and energy.

The job includes scheduled working hours during the day, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

You have post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant for the position, as well as documented experience working with people in creative processes, preferably in project form. To succeed in the assignment, you are relationship-building and in a pedagogical manner encourage participation and engagement while adapting your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.

With your demeanor, you show respect and consideration and base your actions on everyone's equal value, creating a good atmosphere in the workplace with an open and positive attitude towards both colleagues and visitors.

You have the interest, willingness, and ability to facilitate for others, and with good planning skills, you ensure that the work is carried out in the best possible way based on the current conditions. Of course, you follow up on the work and share your experiences.

You easily adapt your working methods based on changed conditions and new information, being solution-focused and able to quickly adjust when the situation requires it.

You are accustomed to digital work and have good knowledge of the Office suite as well as a B driver's license.
